I’m giving you all a different perspective on $Quai.
Six years ago, I was one of the biggest promoters and supporters of Pi. I started early with Pi, and some even consider me a Pi OG. I used to believe in the founders of Pi Network when they stated in their whitepaper that after mainnet, “NO CENTRAL AUTHORITY” would control Pi.
As I’ve mentioned in my previous X posts, my Pi holdings may be 1,000 times higher than most Pioneers here on X. With that being said, I thought I knew Pi inside and out. PCT clearly stated in their whitepaper that NO CENTRAL AUTHORITY would control Pi and that it would be fully decentralized. You can read their whitepaper to verify this yourself.
No central authority will be controlling the currency and it will be fully decentralized.

Then came mainnet, which was divided into two parts: enclosed mainnet and open mainnet. To make a long story short, when open mainnet finally arrived, I hoped it would bring decentralization to Pi—but I was wrong again. Some Pioneers posted about how Pi wallets remained firewalled, and I soon realized that Pi is permission-driven, which was a huge disappointment for me. What happened to the “fully decentralized” statement in their whitepaper?
Throughout my six-year journey with Pi, I and others repeatedly asked PCT to be transparent with their Pioneers and to provide a timeframe or an open mainnet date—but of course, nothing happened. For two years, or probably more, I challenged them. Many Pioneers hated me for this, called me names, and threw insults at me. I challenged PCT, saying open mainnet would never happen—and in a way, I was right. It never truly opened. Pi wallets remain firewalled, as verified by some devs who posted here on X while working on projects that require a fully open and decentralized Pi.
We found out from their X posts—or rather, I found out—that wallets remain firewalled, and exchanges probably received special access from PCT. Developers working on Pi-based projects can’t even create or fund their own wallets, as you can see from this post on X. That’s why my critics have stopped tagging me about open mainnet—because I was right.
Now, as I move forward, I want to introduce you to $Quai. The developers behind $Quai are open and transparent. They regularly hold AMAs and don’t hide anything. This is what real decentralization looks like. Developers can build their projects on #QuaiNetwork.
They also offer grants to developers through the Quai Genesis Program, which is open to “any and all projects that can be built on Quai Network.” If your project can utilize Quai, you are welcome to apply.
Quai Genesis grants are for any and all projects that can be built on Quai Network. If your project can utilize Quai, you are welcome to apply. The Quai Genesis program has a pool of over $10 million dedicated to grants, with up to $400k available per project.
Projects that are encouraged to apply for a grant include:
- DEXs
- NFT Marketplaces
- Games
- Stablecoins
- RWA projects
- Lending protocols
- Bridges/cross-chain communication protocols
- Mining softwares
- Mining pools
- …and any other projects that can utilize Quai as a Layer-1.

I encourage you all to DYOR on $Quai. As I mentioned earlier, I’ve supported Pi and been with it since 2019, but I can’t even reap the benefits of my efforts. As of now, no Pioneers have benefited from Pi. Well, if you have, feel free to reply here.
The point of this post is to emphasize that your effort for Pi will not determine your success in life, as proven by the results of their so-called “historic open mainnet launch.” Many Pioneers put in effort—from #PiFest to #PiHackathon and beyond. The GCV community, although I opposed it, offered their services and products at unreasonable GCV prices. With all these efforts, Pi is already successful—but for Pioneers, not so much. The truth is, I want all Pioneers to benefit from their Pi—period!
Your crypto should elevate you, not the other way around. You shouldn’t have to sacrifice to elevate your crypto—yet that’s what many are doing with Pi.
This time, Quai Network is different, in my opinion, because it is fully transparent, truly decentralized, and provides real opportunities for developers to build without restrictions. But don’t quote me on this—I want you all to DYOR!
